Information
We've compiled a list of our most frequently asked questions as a guide to help you make your PhotoFuzz experience the best one possible.

Do you have suggestions on choosing the best photo to get the best results?
Actually, we do. We can reproduce any photo, but there are some things to consider for the optimal result on your personalized photo product. Consider using a photo with 4 or fewer primary subjects in it. The focal area of the photo should take up about 60%-85% of the total photograph. This leaves us some room for cropping. Last thing to remember is to use a photo with some contrast in the image. There should be a noticeable difference between the light and dark areas within your photograph. Trying to reproduce a chocolate bar in a mud puddle would be tough - not to mention a little odd. Last thing to remember is to stay away from blurry photos. If you're having a hard time seeing the detail in the image area, we can assure you, we'll have the same struggle.                   back
Can I use a printed photograph?
Yes. To provide us with a printed photo you need simply to follow these instructions:
1. Download the printed photo Scan Request Form on the check-out page from the photo redemption site.
2. Enclose your photo into a USPS Priority Mail envelope, and be sure it is securely package to avoid damage in transit.
3. Mail your printed photo along with our printed photo scan request to:
        PhotoFuzz
        Attn: Art Department
        609 Deep Valley Drive
        Suite 200
Rolling Hills Estates, CA 90274                   back
Will you crop my photo?
Our production artists will crop images to fit in the live image area for each product based on the following guidelines:
1. Center the primary subjects in the photo onto the product live image area.
2. Size the image to ensure that the live image area on the product is printed with the primary subjects as the center of focus. The subjects should take up roughly 80% of the printed image area.
3. We're careful not to remove critical image subjects during cropping.
4. If we have a question or concern - call the customer.                   back
Will you accept black and white photos?
Sure will. We'll work to ensure the reproduction on the black and white photographs is as true to the contrast in the photo that's supplied... unless you instruct us otherwise.                   back
Can I personalize my photo with text?
Yes you can, and guess what?  It's FREE. After you've uploaded your photograph in our order redemption process, click the "Personalize It" link to add text, size, it, position it, and color it. Cool huh?                   back
Will a real artist "paint" my photo to create the painted art effect?
A living, breathing human being will personally "paint" the brush strokes into your digital photograph to make it simulate a fine art painting. Some photographs are better suited to the painted art treatment than others.                   back
What's the secret to getting a beautiful painted photograph?
We use two secret ingredients: 1) Really talented and passionate artists, and 2) Provide the customer with feedback on photographs that won't benefit from the painted brush strokes. The best photographs are those with variations in color and texture throughout the image.                   back
How is the photo printed on the product?
There are various printing processes that are used to print the photos on our products. In all cases, the images are permanent, and will not fade, scratch, or flake off.                   back
How do I upload a photo onto your website?
The process of uploading a photograph to our website from your computer is intended to be simple, though some still find it confusing because it involves technology. Here are the steps we recommend:
1. First, locate the photo file on your computer. Is it on the desktop, in a folder, tucked away someplace dark and cold? If you cannot find the photo on your computer, and you know you've seen it before, chances are it may be in one of two places: 1) Still on the camera or 2) attached to an e-mail you received. Move the photo from your camera/e-mail to the computer first. This will help you immensely when you are asked to upload it, as our systems aren't able to rummage around inside your personal stuff.
2. When confronted with the Upload Photo page, here's what you do:
    > Find the button labeled "BROWSE". Click it once. A window will open that will allow you to locate your image file on your computer. Select the photo by clicking it, and then pressing the "ADD" button.
    > Click the "Upload" on the PhotoFuzz redemption page, and we will suck the image right off your computer and into our systems. Depending on the file size, this process can take up to 3 minutes.                   back
What are the acceptable photo file formats?
We're no Baskin Robbins, so there are no 31 flavors of file formats. We accept the usual suspects: JPEG, TIFF, and even the occasional GIF file. It's important to note that the better the quality of resolution you start with, the better the printed result on your product. Acceptable file size is anything larger than 300 kilobytes. If your photograph was taken by a 1 megapixel or better camera, it should work just fine. Worst case scenario, we'll pick up the phone and call if we have a concern or a question. We promise not to blindly manufacture something we know won't satisfy us.                   back
Can someone from PhotoFuzz help me place my order?
Sometimes it's just to hard to go it alone. During times like those, it can be useful to have a lifeline. Call us, and we'll talk you through, help you place your order, or place the order for you. Really.                   back
Are there types of photos you cannot or should not use?
Unfortunately yes. We encourage you not to use photos of large groups of 30 or more people gathered [family reunions for instance], and please, please, please steer clear of photos taken from cell phones. Oh, and we won't produce products with images that we judge to be obscene or vulgar. Ooo, one more thing - if you didn't take the photograph, and don't have permission to use it, we ask you to submit a consent form [need to link to consent form]. Other than that, you're free and clear.                   back
How long will it take for my product to arrive?
Our team will do their best to have your product in the mail and on its way to you within 10 days of our receiving your photograph. That covers standard shipping... which is FREE by the way when you enter the discount code FREESHIP at checkout. If you opt for an expedited delivery, our shipping timetable is as follows:
